You can consider blogging as a form of storytelling. But, do not think that your blog posts are the only things that can help tell a story- your blog’s overall design actually does so as well.
Depending on what blog you create, your blog’s design should accentuate what you are going to talk about. For instance, if you are running a tech blog, then a simple design will help convey professionalism and your knowledge about the topic.
So in this article, I want to give you some inspiring examples of blogs that have taken good blog design into account. Here are just some of them:
1. Capture by Lucy
Lucy is a photographer that has a blog that was created using Squarespace. She uses a simpler look and she lets her imagery and content do the talking.
You can find out more about her and her journey and you can even collaborate with her since she already has a massive following.
2. Kisty Mea
This person is a travel blogger who (obviously) loves traveling the world. She writes about her adventures and she also provides some handy lifestyle tips for people who are going to the places that she’s been to before.
Her blog was also created using Squarespace and she includes relevant images (big but not obtrusive) on her blog posts to help people understand what she is saying in a particular article.
3. Hint of Vanilla
This blog is more focused on providing you with some scrumptious recipes. Not only does the blogger provide you with some pictures of her creations, but she also makes it a point that your eyes will be fixed on what she writes as well.
4. The Blog Abroad
This website is created by another travel blogger and she mainly shares her experiences about her different travels to European countries.
Aside from posting some pictures of her travels, she also provides some useful travel resources and she gives tips on certain publications she found along the way.
You may have heard of this blog before as they specialize in providing you with amazing content based on content marketing. That being said, they surely know how to create compelling titles as they get thousands of page views every single day.
6. Jeremy D. Larson
Jeremy is an editor, a photographer, and of course, a writer. He posts articles about music and pop culture. He uses big font sizes for his titles and he makes clever use of the sidebar to help you navigate through his entire blog.
7. Victoria Prooday
Victoria is an occupational therapist and her blog is centered towards giving her audience some nifty information about parenting and teaching children.
Because she talks about parenting, in general, her blog is colorful to suit the tone she wants to convey.
Ben Thompson has worked for big companies such as Microsoft and Apple and he is now based in Taiwan. His experience in the tech industry really shows in his writing. Although you can see predominantly texts as opposed to images, he does so in a way that does not bore his readers.
